Murali equals world record and India seal series in Colombo


Ace Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan has equaled the world record for most number of wickets in One day international cricket.
Murali claimed his 502nd wicket in the 3rd ODI against India in Colombo, to equal Wasim Akram’s record. The off-spinner though could not prevent India from taking an unassailable 3-0 lead in the 5-match series.
Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh scored centuries as India posted a mammoth 363 runs in 50 overs. Chasing a big target, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 216 in the 42nd over
