India set Sri Lanka 333 to win fourth ODI

COLOMBO: Gautam Gambhir gutsy century guided India to 332-5 in the opening innings of the fourth one-day international.Muralitharan went past the 502-wicket market set by former Pakistan paceman Wasim Akram's when he found a faint edge off Gambhir's bat in his last over. The 36-year-old Muralitharan, who is also highest wicket-taker in test matches with 769 dismissals, had otherwise a poor time with the ball, ending with figures of 1-66. Gambhir's career-best 150 off 147 balls, including 14 fours and a six, was well supplemented by captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's 94 off 96 balls as Sri Lanka conceded too many runs with poor ground fielding and wayward bowling that included 15 wides.Dhoni's decision to bat first after winning the toss and promote himself at No. 3 paid off despite India losing opener Virender Sehwag in only third over. Paceman Nuwan Kulasekara struck when Sehwag (5) drove hard butSanath Jayasuriya grabbed a low two-handed diving catch at mid-off.Sri Lanka came back briefly through Kulasekara's twin strike in his return spell, as the fast bowler clean bowled Yuvraj Singh and Yusuf Pathan with successive deliveries. India, already leading the five-match series 3-0 rested Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan and brought in Rohit Sharma and Irfan Pathan. Mathews replaced Ajantha Mendis in the Sri Lankan playing XI
